About the event

This session is a comprehensive introduction to person centered practices. Learn about the fundamentals of person centeredness, and what we can do to support people in more meaningful ways.

We will also examine how we shift our thinking about person-centered support and why the Federal Agency, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires it.

The workshop offers a deeply intuitive understanding of what it means to be person centered, why it's being required by policy and funding, and how this shift can dramatically improve outcomes for the people we support. Leave with the framework for a one page person centered description.

Who is this event for? Direct Service Professionals, Administrators, Family Members, and people that use disability services. Ideal for new staff members!

In other words, it is for all humans.

Agency personnel: HCBS compliance here!  Don't panic. Learn!

The Person Centered Thinking Training curriculum is the intellectual property of The Learning Community for Person Centered Planning. The Learning Community envisions a world where all people have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves. Our efforts focus on people who have lost or may lose positive control because of society’s response to the presence of a disability or other conditions. This site helps us foster a global learning community that shares knowledge for that purpose. All are welcome here to share and learn.
